St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea to host free 16-week Diabetes Prevention Program

St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea, located at 775 S. Main Street in Chelsea, will host a free Diabetes Prevention Program inside the hospital’s Atrium Conference Room on Mondays beginning February 17 from 2 to 3 p.m.  For those interested in learning more, a free informational session will be held on Feb. 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the same location.  The program will consist of 16 weekly sessions followed by monthly maintenance sessions.  The Diabetes Prevention Program is intended for anyone at risk of type 2 diabetes.  It will help educate participants on strategies to become more active, control food intake, lose weight, manage stress, think positively and more.
