Field Hockey: Three Dreadnaughts named to NFHCA All-Region Team

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced that 154 student-athletes have been named to a GoPlay Sports Tours/NFHCA High School All-Region team this year.

Dexter’s Maggie Jones, Kylee Niswonger and Abby Tamer were selected from the Midwest Region. Saline’s Erin Reilly also was named to the team.

High schools are separated into 10 regions: Massachusetts, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, New Jersey, New York, Northern New England, Pennsylvania, South, Southern New England, and West. Each region’s All-Region team roster is reflective of the number of NFHCA high school coach members registered in that region.

The GoPlay Sports Tours/NFHCA High School All-Region announcement is the first of three postseason high school awards to be released by the NFHCA. Next to be announced are the GoPlay Sports Tours/NFHCA High School All-American teams (December 18) and the Optimal Performance Associates/NFHCA High School National Academic Squad (projected February 5).
