United Way of Washtenaw County Announces Campaign 2020 Chairman, Fall Kick off Date

ANN ARBOR – United Way of Washtenaw County is pleased to announce that Brandon Tucker, the AVP of Workforce and Community Development at Washtenaw Community College will be leading the community wide campaign to raise funds to continue to address the community needs in Washtenaw County. United Way funds more than 60 partners and 80 programs annually that address health, education and financial stability initiatives in the community.

The 2020 #unitedforequity Campaign will commence virtually this year on September 16 with an online kickoff beginning at Noon. People are encouraged to register here.  In past years more than 250 people joined the United Way to kick off the campaign but the pandemic prevents us from meeting in person.  The engaging 45 minute kickoff will feature on air personality Lucy Ann Lance and a panel of experts speaking about the health, education and financial stability perspectives.

“We are thrilled to have Brandon Tucker step into the role of leading United Way’s mission and vision forward as our Campaign Chair, said Pam Smith, President and CEO of United Way. “Our #unitedforequity virtual campaign Kick-off is one more way we are helping people understand the critical needs in our community and why we need to join together for equitable solutions!”
