Volleyball: Saline ends Dexter’s season in District opener

The Dexter volleyball season came to an end in the first round of Districts on Monday night. The Dreadnaughts drew Saline in the opening round and the SEC Red Division powerhouse proved to be too good for the very good Dreadnaughts.

Saline won the first game 25-20 and then took the second game 25-16. The Hornets ended the night and Dexter’s season with a 25-18 win in the third game.

Saline advances to a second-round match against Skyline on Wednesday. Huron will play Pioneer in the other semifinal game on Wednesday. Both matches are at Dexter High School.
