Girls Basketball: Dexter knocks down 11 triples in win over Huron

The Dexter girls’ basketball team built an early lead and then just kept building on it during an impressive 55-40 win over visiting Ann Arbor Huron on Friday night. Dexter delivered 11 triples in the victory.

The Dreadnaughts took a 13-8 first-quarter lead and led 29-15 at halftime. Dexter scored 18 points to Huron’s 13 in a high-scoring third quarter. The Dreads were outscored by the River Rats 12-8 in the final quarter after the outcome was pretty much locked up.

Addison Chase had a huge offensive game for the Dreadnaughts. She knocked down SIX triples in the game and finished with a game-high 21 points.

Chloe Perry and Alena Blumberg (three triples) each scored 12 points for Dexter. Heidi Fuchs had five points.

The Dreadnaughts play at Lincoln on Tuesday and at Pioneer on Thursday.
