Girls Basketball: Dreadnaughts dribble past Lincoln in SEC game

The Dexter girls’ basketball team continues to dribble in the right direction with a dominating 66-23 win over host Lincoln in an SEC game on Tuesday night. Dexter jumped out to a 14-9 first-quarter lead and then outscored the Railsplitters 19-3 in the second quarter for a 33-12 halftime lead.   

The Dreads won the third quarter 16-5.

Alena Blumberg had another big game on the offensive end. The sophomore delivered four triples and finished with a game-high 22 points. Senior Chloe Perry, speaking of big offensive games, scored 17 of her 19 points in the first half.

Addison Chase had five points for Dexter. Kendall Cabana, Bella Hughes, Alyssa Gullekson and Lauren Simpson each scored four points in the win.

Dexter plays at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at Pioneer.
