Tennis: Dreadnaughts net season-opening tournament victory at Adrian College

The Dexter High School boys’ varsity tennis team started their season on Wednesday with a first-place finish at the Adrian Quad Tournament at Adrian College. The Dreadnaughts won six flights in the tournament with all of them going 3-0 on the day.
Flight winners were in the singles matches were Connor Kniesteadt (2 singles), Alex Gullekson (3 singles) and Oliver Pham (4 singles).
On the doubles side of the net, Dexter winners were Andrew Boydston/Steven Merz at 1 doubles; Cayden Capelli/Gavin Heichel at 3 doubles; and
Mason Portice/Santiago Mendez at 4 doubles.
DHS varsity tennis is coached by Rob Smothers.
