Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra Fundraising Auction and Holiday Concert Dec. 10

YPSILANTI – Music Director Adam C. Riccinto and the Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra (YSO) will present it’s popular annual Holiday Concert at the Lincoln High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday, December 10 at 3:30 p.m. The YSO is celebrating its 25th anniversary season with a year filled with exciting programming, outstanding guest artists, and engagement with audiences. The orchestra is thrilled to offer this family-friendly holiday event including Kalinnikov’s Symphony No. 1 and—of course—a broad selection of familiar holiday favorites.

“The YSO can’t wait to celebrate the holiday season—as well as our 25th year performing in the community—together with our talented friends from Lincoln High School and our wonderful audiences,” said Music Director Adam C. Riccinto. “This program promises a wide range of music for all to enjoy. Come get into the holiday spirit with your Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra!”

The YSO is also pleased to welcome as special guests the Lincoln High School Split Dimensions Choir under the direction of Director Toni Micik. Split Dimensions is an auditioned choir at Lincoln High School that represents Lincoln as performance leaders in the district and community.

Toni Micik has been the Director of Choirs at Lincoln High School, in Ypsilanti, for the past 10 years. She directs three curricular choirs, one extra-curricular choir, and teaches piano.. Micik was previously the Choral Director at Lincoln Middle School for 12 years. While at Lincoln, Mrs. Micik’s middle school and high school choirs have consistently earned 1st division rating at Choral Festival and have performed as guests of the University of Michigan’s Men’s Glee Club at Hill Auditorium twice. She has served both MSVMA and ACDA at different times in her career and served in the music ministry at her church. With a Master’s in Education, Toni pursued her dreams of traveling combined with a passion for education to teach Language and Culture at the Summer Institute at the University of Science and Technology, in Beijing China.
