Michigan Athletics Announces 2024 Football Season Ticket Prices

ANN ARBOR – The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced Friday (Dec. 29) the season ticket pricing for the 2024 football season. U-M is increasing season tickets for the first time since 2021, with the tickets increasing from $77.50 per game to $82.50 per game for a total of $660 for the upcoming eight-game home slate.

“We’ve been evaluating the data and carefully weighing our options,” said Warde Manuel, Michigan’s Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics. “After evaluating multiple factors, including the changes coming to the Big Ten Conference due to expansion, the quality of our future football schedules, and benchmarking other football programs, we are taking this step to ensure the continued success and sustainability of our football program and future athletic operations.”

In addition, the pricing tiers are being modernized at Michigan Stadium to better align with current standards across the industry. A recent analysis of similar Power 5 programs showed pricing for prime seat locations at Michigan Stadium was undervalued. By adjusting the pricing structure, Michigan will be more in line with other programs while still delivering more value to the premium pricing tiers.

“After speaking with our peers and analyzing comparable football program ticket pricing across the country, we learned there was an opportunity to maintain value while generating additional revenue to support Michigan Athletics,” said Adam Dunn, Associate AD, Marketing/Fan Engagement and Experience.

With the changes in season ticket pricing, new pricing tiers are also being implemented in 2024, resulting in updated pricing for Preferred Seat Contributions (PSC). Traditionally, Michigan Stadium had five standard pricing tiers: Victors, Valiant, Maize, Blue, and End Zone, and the PSC for each ticket was the same for each tier. New in 2024, the Victors and Valiant sections will be organized into lower, middle, and upper tiers.

Manuel added,” Implementation of these changes will help Michigan Athletics provide the essential resources needed for the continued success of our football program and each of the 29 sports programs in Michigan Athletics. I want to thank our season ticket holders and donors in advance for their continued support.”

Season ticket holders will be emailed with more details in late January when 2024 season ticket renewals begin.
