Swimming: Skyline bounces back with win over Bedford

The Skyline boys’ swimming and diving team fell to Birmingham Groves last Tuesday (106-74) and defeated Bedford on Thursday (122-57).

The highlight of the week was the high number of new State Cuts and great time drops recorded. Zander Barr (50 Free), Sawyer Thompson (100 Free), and Connor Zillich (500 Free) all earned new State Cuts, almost doubling the size of the State Team to date. In addition, tremendous time drops were turned in by Lucas Caswell (100 Breast), Albert Gu (50 Free, 100 Back), Luke Jordan (100 Fly), Henry Strait (200 Free), Phil Trampler (Diving), and Darsh Vats (100 Free).

Top 5 finishes over the two meets were turned in by Burak Aricioglu, Barr, Caswell, Gu, Marlowe Hartnett, Wesley Jenkins, Jordan, Stuart Knight, Chris Kurniawan, Aidan Mazza, Owen McKelvey, Robby Shannon, Strait, Thompson, Trampler, Andi Xi, and Zillich.

This week Skyline will celebrate its Seniors as they host Saline on Thursday at 6pm.
