Summer Dance Intensive (SDI) July 29 – August 16

For those unfamiliar with SDI, it is an intensive training program that focuses on technical and artistic development through personalized attention and high training standards. The curriculum encompasses daily ballet technique, pointe, repertory, partnering, modern, contemporary ballet, and conditioning, complemented by educational dance seminars. Each week culminates in a showcase where dancers present their learned skills to peers.

Cinderella Performance

Ballet Chelsea has had a bustling spring, thanks to the incredible support from our community. They performed two stunning productions of Cinderella, hosted at the Chelsea High School Auditorium, and a Cinderella Tea and Open House at the Studio. Business Manager Jean Delwiche expressed her gratitude, “Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Cinderella performance. The support from the community was truly overwhelming. We reached record attendance for a spring performance, 60%+ attendees came from outside the Chelsea area. Our commitment to providing cultural experiences continues to bring people together and enrich our community.”

Michelle Quenon, Artistic Director, added “Putting on Ballet Chelsea’s premiere production of Cinderella with all of the dancers, instructors, volunteers, administrative team, and technical crew involved was such a wonderful experience! I am very grateful to everyone who volunteered their time to help bring this production to life. I am also extremely proud of the dancers, who all worked so hard to bring the magic of Cinderella to the stage. Thank you to everyone who came to see the shows—I hope you had an enchanting time!” – Michelle Quenon, Artistic Director.
