ANN ARBOR – The Guild of Artists & Artisans (The Guild) and the Gutman Gallery announce the annual return of the Artful Dining Experience. This year’s event marks the 2nd year of the fundraiser following the success of last year’s inaugural event which sold out in a single day, and will be held on June 1 at the Ann Arbor Club. The new venue allows for more participants in a cool and exclusive downtown space.
This creative and intimate event features a gourmet menu inspired by works on display at the Ann Arbor Club, curated by the Gutman Gallery as an extension of the 200 Exhibition on display in Gutman Gallery May 17 – June 29. The event will feature artwork by local artists, including pastels by Linda Klenczar, an acrylic, charcoal, and collage painting by Thomas Rosenbaum, and a mixed media painting by Marie Parmer, among others. The artwork celebrates Ann Arbor’s bicentennial with subjects that include Ann Arbor landmarks, community, icons, and more! All works will be available for purchase.
The dining experience includes contributions from several local businesses. Strolling spirit samples will be provided before the meal by the Ann Arbor Distilling Company with an option to purchase full bottles of your favorites (25% of these sales will benefit The Guild). The five-course curated meal is created in partnership with Chef Liam Ayer, who has worked in the food industry for 20+ years. The experience will feature fresh oysters from Monahan’s Seafood, assorted rolls and bread provided by Bird Dog Baking, delicious main courses including lamb and duck, and mini-cocktails paired with each course plus a special dessert from Ann Arbor Distilling Company. Full menu details below.
Tickets for this exclusive event cost $95 per person, with limited space available. This event is a fundraiser for The Guild of Artists and Artisans and allows the organization to continue to support independent artists and communities around southeast Michigan and beyond through the production of nine annual art fairs and management of the Gutman Gallery. Half of the price of the ticket is tax deductible. For ticket purchase and additional information, visit bit.ly/ArtfulDiningExperience24.
