Registration opens for 2026 Winter Semester at Washtenaw Community College

ANN ARBOR – Registration is now open for the 2026 Winter Semester that begins January 12 at Washtenaw Community College (WCC).

Class registrations and enrollment applications for prospective students are available in simple online steps or in person at the Student Welcome Center located on the second floor of the Student Center building, 4800 E. Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor.

New students can start registering for classes today. Veterans, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society members, STEM Scholars, Alpha Scholars and continuing students began registering earlier this week.

Registration remains open until the evening before the first session of each course, with deadlines varying based on the course format and length.

WCC offers flexible scheduling across 143 programs, including 50 fully online, helping students launch rewarding, high-demand careers or transfer to a bachelor’s program. In addition to the traditional in-person format, classes are offered online and on weekends to accommodate adult learners and students with busy schedules.

WCC offers four start dates to accommodate student schedules and lifestyles. Classes with later start dates include the same material at an accelerated pace. Four starts for the 2026 Winter Semester are:

  • Session I, January 12
  • Session II, February 3
  • Session III, February 17
  • Session IV, March 12

Low Tuition & Scholarships

WCC’s tuition is $99 per credit for in-district students, among the lowest in the state. Multiple types of scholarships and financial assistance are available. Visit WCC’s Financial Aid webpage for information.

Academic Programs

The college offers nationally recognized programs to educate and train students for high-demand, high-wage careers in areas such as health sciences; business and entrepreneurship; advanced manufacturing; transportation technologies; skilled trades; apprenticeships and union trades; human services, pre-education and public safety; broadcast, communication, visual, digital and fine arts; science, computer technology, engineering and math.

This year, WCC launched five new academic pathways – associate degrees and certificates in Engineering Technology and Construction Technology, as well as a Semiconductor & Battery Manufacturing Advanced Certificate.
