SRSLY Dexter hires Sarah Schmidt as new program coordinator

DEXTER – SRSLY Dexter and SRSLY Manchester announced the hiring of a new staff member: Sarah Schmidt, program coordinator.  In her new role, Schmidt’s responsibilities include assisting the SRSLY Dexter and SRSLY Manchester program directors with the assessment, implementation and evaluation of SRSLY activities and events in both communities.

Schmidt earned her master’s degree in public health with an emphasis in epidemiology, and her bachelor’s degree in health communication with a minor in anthropology from Grand Valley State University.

“Throughout high school I participated in PRIDE of Newaygo County, a teen peer-to-peer drug, alcohol, and violence prevention program that uses service, education, and performing arts to convey their message,” said Schmidt. ” SRSLY Dexter and SRSLY Manchester provide me the opportunity to work with youth on health issues I feel passionate about. I look forward to developing strong relationships and becoming part of these wonderful communities.”
