Dexter hosted its annual Dexter Swimming and Diving Invitational but didn’t have enough entries to run just a Freshman/Sophomore meet this year. Instead, they separated the meet into Freshman/Sophomore and Junior/Senior flights with teams from Dexter, Canton, Chelsea and Pinckney.
The Dexter junior/senior (J/S) team of Adam Bergen, Adam Hauser, Jack Potsos and Devon Durliat touched third in the medley relay in 1:51.32. The Dexter freshman/sophomore (F/S) team of Ben Curtis, Eric Smaby, Otto Krueger and Matthew Resende took first in 1:52.34.
Hauser won the J/S 200 free with a time of 1:50.18. Grady Wheeler was fifth (1:57.92). Jack Haidl won the 200 free F/S race in 1:57.56 with Dylan O’Connor in second (1:57.65).
In the 500 free, Durliat was eighth (26.54). Resende won the F/S 50-free in 23.02 with Smaby in fourth (24.78) and Krueger sixth (25.62).
Dexter senior Cole Warren won the diving with 277.80 points.
In the J/S 100-free, Bergen touched fifth in 56.53 and Potsos was seventh in 58.11.
In the F/S 100-free, Resende took first place in 52.20 with Smaby third (55.28), Owen Ragnes fourth (55.57) and Curtis fifth (55.59).
Haidl took first place in the F/S 500 free with a time of 5:10.79. Liam MacNeil was fourth (5:42.87).
Dexter’s J/S 200 free relay team of Lorincz, Potsos, Wheeler and Hauser took first place in 1:38.27. The F/S team of Ragnes, Bryce Hutchinson, MacNeil and Haidl took second in 1:46.82.
Dexter went one-two in the J/S backstroke with Lucas Greatorex first in 57.72 and Bergen second in 1:03.28. Durliat was fourth (1:08.98). In the F/S 100 back, Krueger was second (1:02.40) and Curtis third (1:02.46).
Dexter had a strong showing in the J/S breaststroke. Hauser was second (1:04.74), Potsos was third (1:16.20) and Lorincz was fourth (1:16.38). Ben Alekseev was seventh (1:38.22) in the F/S breaststroke.
The Dexter team of Greatorex, Bergen, Wheeler and Lorincz took second in the J/S 400 free relay with a time of 3:47.57. The Dexter team of Resende, Smaby, Haidl and O’Connor touched first (3:37.81) in the F/S 400 free relay.
