Girls Basketball: Dreadnaughts race past Lincoln in SEC contest

The Dexter girls’ basketball team jumped out to a 20-6 lead in the first quarter against visiting Lincoln on Friday night and cruised to an easy 63-33 win over the Railsplitters in an SEC matchup.

Dexter led 33-11 at halftime.

Chloe Perry scored 12 of her game-high 25 points in the opening quarter. Alena Blumberg scored 11 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter to help seal the deal. Alyssa Gullekson scored all of her 10 points in the first half. Addison Chase had seven points and Kendall Cabana scored four for the winners.

The Dreadnaughts keep busy heading into the holidays as they take their act on the road. Dexter has non-league games on Monday at Grass Lake and on Wednesday at Troy.
