Cheer: Dexter takes second place at Saline Invitational 

The Dexter competitive cheer team took to the mat on Saturday at the competitive Saline Invitational. The Dreadnaughts landed in second place in the Division 2 bracket as their strong season continues with another outstanding effort.

The Dreadnaughts opened with a score of 215.3 in the opening round. The Dreads then scored 203.84 in round two and 274.3 in round three for a second-place total of 693.44.

Riverview landed in first place with a score of 716.56. New Boston Huron was third (667.74), Lincoln was fourth (667.66), Fowlerville was fifth (620.38) and Adrian was sixth (539.22).

Saline finished first in the D-1 bracket with 686.46 points.

In the Division 3 bracket, Monroe Jefferson took first with 736.38. Father Gabriel Richard was fourth with 576.2. Whitmore Lake won the D-4 bracket with 627 points.

In the 12-team Middle School Division, Dexter placed fourth overall with 363.22 points. Seitz MS took first with 386.98, followed by Renton (376.5) and Saline Gold (371.56).
