ANN ARBOR – The University of Michigan football program will hold an open spring practice for fans on April 1 at Michigan Stadium. The maize and blue scrimmage presented by DTE MiGreen Power is free and open to the public, with the Wolverines taking the field around 3 p.m. to begin warm-ups and drills before the scrimmage. The select gates to Michigan Stadium will open at 2 p.m.
Gates 1, 2 and 10 on the east side will be open for fans to enter the Big House, with seating restricted to Sections 1-9 and Sections 37-44. There will not be any seating available on the west side or in the end zones due to the on-going scoreboard construction.
Big Ten Network will televise the practice and scrimmage on its digital platform starting at 3 p.m. The LEARFIELD Michigan Sports Network will air on WWJ Radio (950 AM in Detroit) starting at 2:45 p.m.
The scrimmage is one of the 15 allowed under NCAA rules. It is subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather conditions before or during the session.
The typical prohibited items list will be strictly enforced, with no bags allowed into the stadium for the practice. All attendees and items are subject to search.
Following is game day information regarding the spring football game:
Parking
The lots surrounding Michigan Stadium that are owned and operated by the University of Michigan will be free and open to the public starting at 10 a.m.
ADA Parking
A limited number of spots for guests with a disability will be available (free of charge) in Lot SC-6.
Parking at Pioneer High School
The school district will be charging $34 for parking only; no tailgating, no RVs are permitted in the lots. Fans can reserve a parking spot at MichiganGamedayParking.com
Restrooms and Concessions
All east side restrooms will be open and accessible by the public. Centerplate will have eight (8) permanent and eight (8) portable concession stands available on the east side of the stadium.
M-Den Stores
The official provider of Michigan Athletic apparel, M-Den, will have stores located inside Michigan Stadium open for fans to purchase merchandise. The stores will be located on the north end of the stadium and in Crisler Center by the Gate 2 entrance. In addition, M-Den will have its large tent on the corner of Stadium Boulevard and Main Street open before the game.
LEARFIELD Michigan Sports Network
The LEARFIELD Michigan Sports Network will broadcast the spring game live on WWJ Radio (950 AM in Detroit) starting at 2:45 p.m. Brian Boesch (play-by-play) and Jon Jansen (color analyst) will call the action from the press box. Audio coverage is also available on MGoBlue.com, the Michigan Athletics App, and the Varsity Network App.
