Washtenaw County Commission on Aging to Host Safe Aging Townhall June 9

Washtenaw County, MI – The Commission on Aging has invited Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, Representatives from the Area Agency on Aging 1-B, and Leadership from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department to join in a Safe Aging Townhall. The Commission on Aging’s mission is to define the needs of and advocate on behalf of Washtenaw County Seniors 60 years of age or older to promote equitable well-being and quality of life opportunities and outcomes.

The townhall will focus on issues facing the Washtenaw’s Seniors, specifically scams and internet safety as well as personal and home safety. There will be an opportunity for community questions and there will be resource tables from community organizations that serve seniors.

The public will have the opportunity to connect with these leaders on Friday, June 9th at the Ypsilanti Township Civic Center, 7200 S Huron River Drive, Ypsilanti. The event will run from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
