Dexter Champions finish third at State tournament after winning Districts

The Dexter Champions team recently completed its season with an amazing finish.

Dexter Champions took first place in their division at the Special Olympics MI District Basketball tournament on Sunday, March 5 at Legacy Center Sports Complex Brighton to bring home gold medals. Third place also qualified the team to participate in the State Basketball tournament, held on March 17 at Calvin University in Grand Rapids. The Champions took third place at States, bringing home bronze medals.

This is the first time back since Covid at the district and state basketball events.  The team work incredibly hard and all the parents, fans and supporters couldn’t be prouder!
